That's right -- A NEW BALL!! Everyone will receive a new Storm "Big Hit" bowlimg ball if you bowl a summer league. If you are competitive you can bowl in the Super Bowl, or 440 Doubles Leagues. Just want to have fun? -- try the Summer Fun Trios (No Tap 9 pins count as a strike), or any mixed league. Bring the kids for the Adult/Junior or the Junior League.

We are coming to the end of another bowling season, and want to thank everyone for choosing "Valley Lanes" for their league bowling. Since we bought this place in February of 2003, we have worked hard to make it a friendlier bowling center to visit. The first thing we did was to install updated pinsetters (AMF 82/70's). These machines run better than what we purchased from the previous owners, but have not yet been the dream come true we had hoped (as you all know). In March of 2003, Terry introduced himself to all of you and told everyone we planned on fixing the machine problems, and for the most part, you all believed him. It has taken twice as long to iron out the problems of installing different machines than was first believed. Many of the machines had parts fail that was unforseen. At this time, our head mechanic, John Pittenger and we think the majority of the problems are behind us and the future looks bright ahead. On March 26. 2005, we have replaced the old pins with new, and many of the problems have gone away. Pins are very expensive $12.50 each x 20 per machine equals $250.00 per machine x 32 machines equals $8,000.00. (Just an example of where your lineage dollars are spent.)

In November of 2003, new Brunswick Automatic Scoring was installed. There have been bugs in this system, but the same thing goes for scoring; we think John has gotten them working up to speed. John went to Brunswick training school before we installed the scoring and has learned much about the system since the installation. At this time, we installed new counters, seating on the concourse, ball returns, gutter capping, foul lights, bumpers, masking units and carpet. The restrooms were remodeled and brought up to ADA standards. The walls have been painted to brighten up the atmosphere and the Snack Bar and Lounge have been cleaned up tenfold.

All of the things we have done to the center were done with one thing in mind -- making it more enjoyable for our league bowlers each week as they come to relax and have fun with friends and family. This is not the end of change at Valley Lanes. We are committed to keeping the center clean and running smoothly in the future.

We hope that your league bowling will be enjoyable in the future and that anything that can go wrong will not go wrong while you are here at Valley Lanes. Please feel free to say "Hi" to Lisa Walck our Assistant Manager, or anyone of us while visiting Valley Lanes.
